December 2024. After eight years of ciphers, castles and counted digits, bearableguy123 captioned a greenhouse scene with a raw hex value. No riddle wrapper. Just a colour, and a Latin word for the vault above .

Origin

Who is bearableguy123?

An anonymous account that has posted illustrated riddles to the XRP community since roughly 2018 — hand-drawn scenes packed with recurring characters and hidden alphanumerics. A cottage industry of decoders grew around them: thread-by-thread breakdowns, multi-hour podcasts, whole blogs devoted to a single frame.

The grammar is consistent. Castles are the incumbent financial system. Knights guard or breach it. A King represents legacy money. A red mannequin, strung to an unseen hand, is external control. Storms are litigation and uncertainty; sun and blue sky are the resolution after.

Academics have studied the phenomenon as a millenarian crypto sect — belief in a coming financial reset encoded in symbol-laden images. Skeptics inside the community have a shorter word for it: apophenia, the human gift for finding pattern in noise. Both readings can be true, and the puzzle survives either way.

Decode

Every element in the greenhouse scene has precedent in earlier riddles. Read as a sentence rather than a picture, the cast lines up like this.

The riddler himself — gardener, not predator. In the 2024 scene he waters, he does not harvest. A tender: value grown on a schedule, off-cycle, in private.

Latin caelum: sky, heaven, the vault of the firmament. It is also the root of 'ceiling'. A word that means both the limit and the heavens — pick your reading.

An anonymous account starts posting dense illustrated scenes to the XRP community — castles, ships, bears, knights — each stuffed with hidden numbers and hex strings.

The Ship riddle (April 2020) and Inside the Castle (December 2020) get community-wide decodes: golden armour read as a gold standard, the King on ice, a two-year delta on the timeline.
